Avec le chteau La Cabanne, les Vignobles Estager, propritaires de plusieurs domaines bordelais, nous emmnent dans l'appellation Pomerol, au sein d'un terroir argilo-graveleux sur un sous-sol riche en mchefers, des concrtions mlangeant sable et fer.
Vous trouverez dans ce vin les 2 cpages qui dominent l'appellation : le merlot et le cabernet franc, le premier primant trs nettement. Il en rsulte un vin avec une robe voquant la cerise comme souvent avec le merlot, un nez puissant et dlicat sur les fruits confits et les notes sauvages, et une bouche charnue et soutenue. Ce chteau La Cabanne est taill pour de la trs longue garde.

Deep cherry red. Black fruit and a slight minty note. Very chewy tannins but clothed in lively black fruit. Acidity seems quite high and the grippy tannins and high acidity seem to accentuate one another. Pretty tough and abrasive on the finish but may well come round with time.

attractive fruit and a caressing, textured finish. Drinkable now, but better in 2021.
